Support LAGNA

Financial

Although LAGNA is a non-profit organisation there are basic costs which must be met to keep the archive moving. Financial and legacy donations are always welcome and will go towards the upkeep and running of the archive direct. Although our ultimate goal is to find funding to staff the archive on a permanent basis it remains functional (with a limited operational capacity) via the use of a small team of volunteers.

Materials

We also welcome donations of materials, especially of books and campaign materials. It is possible for us to collect material from the donor dependent on the size of the collection and the availability of volunteers. Please contact us if you have any items you think might be suitable for the archive and we can assess the best way for the material to be delivered.

If you have a donation (whether it be financial or material) please contact us via email donations@lagna.org.uk or by telephone on 020 8411 4933.

Volunteering

"LAGNA is an absolute treasure trove. The cuttings represent such an important part of our social history, as seen through the eyes of the straight press. I come away from my volunteering stints fascinated by what I have read, and I'm always eager to return, to learn more". Jenny, Volunteer

LAGNA is dependent on the volunteer team in the sorting and cataloguing of material. We always need people to join our dedicated volunteer team.

Here are some examples of tasks carried out by volunteers:

LAGNA is open on Monday and Wednesday between 10.30am and 5.30pm and is fully accessible. We reimburse travel expenses.

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer then please contact Robert Thompson - enquiry@lagna.co.uk or 020 8411 4933.
